...are posted for the benefit of those image-searching for animated photons and electrons. They are based on my understanding of ideas from Vernon Brown, Milo Wolff, Richard Feynman, Carver Mead, Gabriel LaFrenière, Geoffrey Haselhurst, Albert Einstein, Erwin Schrödinger et al and et c., aka "photon theory" and "the wave structure of matter."
Made with Microsoft Paint and Lunapic, satisfactory standing waves, Hopf toruses and vortexes have eluded me, but some of these results are simple and easy to remember, the key to heuristics.
Warnings and Disclaimers: Nothing here is "right" and almost everything can be described several different ways. Use extreme caution if answering homework questions or designing photon torpedoes. Sometimes two-dimensions looks like a sphere, sometimes maybe a convex inside-out mirrored Mercator sphere, popping right out of your screen. For entertainment purposes only.

The less said about the above, the better. The images speak for themselves, although some can be "rolled over" for a description. Recall that "Sometimes two-dimensions looks like a sphere, sometimes maybe a convex inside-out mirrored Mercator sphere, popping right out of your screen." Opposing colors may be seen as just "background," or perhaps other quanta, in a circle or a sphere or some other aspect. They may or may not be spinning. Therefore, some of these images may seem mislabeled and inconsistent. Pick and choose for yourself. (Continues below.)

These sketches I call rustic, palms and eights show motion and movement by following colors around shapes. Yellow to red to brown, etc. The palms manage to show a slice of a spinning standing wave, in and out, round and round. As those are made solid with less color, from palms to eights, the motion is more obvious and the Yin Yang is brought out. Some of what is above is repeated below to show the progression. The rest of the page is extra, unused Yin Yangs and excess leftovers some may find useful or interesting.
I like the Yin Yang model because the flowing force looks just like a waves in a sphere, which is what it is in the first place. The model has a sort of self-describing obviousness about it, one which tends to reinforce the entire wave nature of matter, light and energy, especially when you believe it to begin with. Everything with Einstein and Planck came back to "c," quite an annoying tautology, I thought. So now here's one of my own. Understanding the weave of these waves, transitioning from "light" to "energy" to "matter" and back is a little easier with these heuristics.
How about an entire photonic "alphabet" made out of these Yin Yangs, mathematically described? Give them magic powers, make them into video games and see what happens. We would have flying cars in two years. And what did the ancient Etruscans, Chinese, Celts and Romans know and when did they know it?
